Cookies Policy

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work (for example, keeping you logged in); these do not require your consent. Others — analytics cookies — are only set with your permission.
2. How consent works on this site
We use Google Consent Mode v2 with everything denied by default. Until you accept, the Google tags on our site operate in a cookieless mode: no analytics or advertising cookies are written, and only anonymous, aggregated signals (which cannot be linked to you) are sent to Google to model overall traffic.
There are two optional purposes, which you can grant separately under "Customize choices": Analytics (how the site is used) and Advertising (measuring our own Google Ads campaigns). Clicking Accept all enables both; clicking Reject non-essential enables neither, and the site works exactly the same.
3. Strictly necessary cookies and storage
These are required for the site to function and do not need consent:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| token | LingoLugo | Keeps you logged in (authentication) | Duration of your login session |
| ll_cc | LingoLugo | Records your cookie consent choice | 13 months |
| ll_cookie_consent, ll_cc_views (localStorage) | LingoLugo | Records your consent choice and whether the consent banner has been shown | Until cleared |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention on payment pages | 1 year / 30 minutes |
4. Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used, and Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors interact with pages (anonymised session replays and heatmaps), so we can improve the exercises and fix usability problems.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes visitors and sessions for usage statistics | Up to 2 years |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity | Stores an anonymous visitor ID for usage analysis | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Connects page views within one session | 1 day |
| MUID | Microsoft | Anonymous browser identifier used by Clarity | 13 months |
5. Advertising cookies (only with your consent)
With your consent we use Google Ads cookies to measure whether our own advertising campaigns work (conversion measurement) and, where granted, to personalise the ads we run. We do not show third-party advertising on this site.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Stores ad-click information to attribute conversions from our campaigns | 3 months |
| _gcl_aw, _gcl_* | Google Ads | Records the ad click that brought you to the site (conversion attribution) | 3 months |
6. Embedded content
Some pages embed third-party content such as YouTube videos and Stripe payment forms. These providers may set their own cookies when you interact with the embedded content (for example, when you press play on a video). Videos on our site only load when you click them.
7. Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page, which re-opens the consent banner. Withdrawing consent stops new analytics and advertising cookies from being set and removes the ones we control; you can also delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
